Ad Audience is a term describing group of users who are ad targets on SNS ad-platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. Repro sends ADIDs (IDFA and/or AAID) to these ad-platforms and allows Repro users to register them as ad audiences. Not only registering ADID of all of your exising users, but you can also registered segmented users targeted based on their event behavior as well as user profile data.
Distribute ads to users with high chance of becoming paying users by using facebook's lookalike audience with using ADIDs of users who've subscribed on the app.
Use ADIDs of users who haven't launched the app for a week and distribute ads on twitter to encourage them to come back.
Distribute ads on websites and encourage users' conversion who are about to become paying users while aggragating app's ADID and cookie within your in-house DMP.
Using ad audience features¶
You need to complete necessary settings from the ad settings page.
Open SETTINGS > AD SETTINGS.
Connecting external applications¶
You need to connect your Repro account with external ad platforms.
Click the CONNECT link and you will be redirected to authorization page of the selected application. Confirm what you're about to authorize and proceed the authentication.
Connecting with Facebook¶
Click Continue as (user name).

Connecting ad accounts¶
Connect your app on Repro with the ad account on desirable platforms. The account that will be connected here will be the one that will be used when assigned from the owner.
Choose the ad account you want to connect from the drop-down, and click Save.
The ad accounts you see in the drop-down are the ones created on ad-platforms. Please check your account settings of the ad-platform.

Choose the ad account you wish to use with the project¶
Choose the ad account you wish to use for registering ad audiences. Please note that you need to choose the account on Repro of the member who did the connection setting, not the ad account itself. When actually registering audience to ad-platforms, it will be done through the associated ad account of the assigned member.
Choose the Repro account of the member you wish to connect from the drop-down and click Save.
This setting is only visible to members with Owner priviledge.
The accounts listed in the drop-down are the ones of members who have completed connecting external application as well as ad account. Please make sure that there is someone who've completed connecting.
Create Ad Audience¶
Go to CAMPAIGN > PUSH NOTIFICATION and click CREATE NEW PUSH NOTIFICATION .
Ad Audience Name¶
Set the audience name that will be registered to SNS ad-platforms. You will see this in the list of ad audiences.
You can target all existing users or a segment of users by filtering with events or user profiles with the filters. The filters can be combined as either and , and not, or condition up to 5 in total.
and: Add the users to the delivery target who match all the specified condition.
and not: Exclude the users from the delivery target who match the specified condition.
or: Add the users to the delivery target who match any of the specified condition.
When delivering to users who have used the app 3 days ago, but have not done so for 2 days since then
When delivering to users whose gender is female and have performed either Event A or Event B within the last 3 days
Filter with Events¶
You can segment the target by the usage of the events, specifying how many times an event has been done within certain period.
Filter with User Profile¶
You can segment the target by registered user profile data. With either number or date types data set in the SDK, the condition can be constructed using comparison with the assigned value such as 'is more than,' 'is less than,' 'is more than or equal' or 'is less than equal.'
The campaign will be delivered to all the existing users registered to Repro. If you wish to exclude users who match special conditions, please add desirable filters using combined as and not.
You cannot choose testers for ad audiences. This is because ad audience registration fails when the target users are too few.
Choose the ad-platform you wish to register ad-audience.
The account of the platform you wish to register must be set properly in the ad settings page. If you see something like the below, please refer to Using ad audience features and act accordingly.
Save ad audiences¶
Check the all settings done above carefully.
If you're ready to register ad audience to the platform, please click Save ad audience and the registration processing will start.
See and update results¶
You can check the effectiveness of the campaigns.
If you see something like being processed, the audience data is being sent and processed to external ad-platforms. (The processing time depends on the size of the audience.)
If you see something like Last update was successful, the registration had completed successfully .
The actual time necessary for the audience to be usable depends on the processing time of each platforms. Notification services of these platforms maybe convenient for such situation.
You can retry when there was an error. Please look into the error details and fix the cause of it and click Retry. If the error was caused due to your account, refer to Using ad audience features and set accordingly.
Update Ad Audiences¶
You can update the ADID of the ad audiences you have already created. By clicking UPDATE, users who match the given condition will be aggregated once again and their ADIDs will be registered. (Old IDs will be deleted)
Audiences are not updated automatically. If you wish to deliver ads to users who became eligible matching the given condition after the audience was created, you need to regularly update the audience. To maintain effective ad audiences, please make sure to update them in an appropriate period.
Check Audiences on Ad-Platforms¶
Once you finish registering audiences on Repro, necessary processing will start on the ad-platforms. IDFAs sent from Repro and the users' data collected on ad-platforms will be matched at this timing and become usable for ad campaigns as an audience.
There might be some cases where you need to wait until the data processing on the ad-platforms' side until you can actually use the registered ad audiences for campaigns. The time needed varies depending on the volume of the registered ADID or the processing speed on the ad-platform. Notification services of these platforms maybe convenient for such situation.
The users who that be registered as part of an ad audience are the ones who already have an account on the designated platform. Please note that the number of users between Repro's website and the ones you can see on the platform's side may vary since the aggregated group of users on Repro may contain ones without an account of the platform, and not be part of the registered audience.
Check on Facebook¶
Open Ad Manager page and select Audience from the menu. Go check the audience name you've set on Repro; the audience is being prepared on Facebook if you see Not Ready there.
After you see Ready, the audience becomes becomes usable as the target. You will also see the rough estimate of the number of target users as the size.
Check on Twitter¶
Open Ad Manager and select Tool > Audience Manager from the menu. Go check the audience name you've set on Repro; the audience is being prepared on Twitter if you see PROCESSING. (This may take up to 24 hours)
After you see READY, the audience becomes usable as the target. You will also see the number of target users.
